Yanik Silver's Information Marketing Method to a 6-Figure Income Part 2

Yanik Silver's Information Marketing Method to a 6-Figure Income Part 2

Just as important as knowing what to do, there are several important things to know what NOT to do to get started making money with the Internet:
  1. Lot's of money to design a website. You can use any number of downloabable software packages to design a simple, 2 or 3 page e-commerce or company descriptive website. Or if you want to & can afford a small investment, pay to have it designed by someone who loves to do HTML coding.
I personally use GetAFreelancer.com to design almost everything I do. You can find very inexpensive but very talented programmers to design virtually anything you.
  2. Lots of time. The whole point of a website to be a 24/7 salesperson. You're looking for a great home based business, a website should be exactly that. You don't want to spend a tremendous amount of time working on the website. Remember to 'measure twice, cut once' when you plan your site out. What will you need it to do, will you need a merchant account, will it need to have a contact form etc. etc. Plan out what you need the site to do, get it designed & then make sure you emphasis to your programmer that you want it be three things: One-Low maintenance, Two-Non-complex & Third-Duplicatable. At first, you will want a website that you can test & see if the idea makes money; if not, drop it & move on. Set up a simple website, market it & if after 2-3 months its not making a dime, move on; don't spend a lot of time with it.
If you hit on an idea that begins to work, duplicate the site over & over & over but, focus on a slightly different aspect of the market. For instance, if you have a hit with a site sales light bulbs, use the same template that your designer created & focus on light bulbs for kids lamps, then one for chandeliers, one for porch lights, etc. etc. etc.
  3. Lots of free content. You're not the New York Public Library or Wikipedia.org therefore, don't feel that you need to give the world everything that's in your head. A simple, 2 page website dealing with a topic is sufficient. If, however; you really feel you need to continue to put tons of content on a site I would suggest purchasing a simple, yet extremely powerful article writing software program that I use Instant Article Wizard.
  4. Lots of advertising dollars. Many people pour tons of money down Pay Per Click holes trying to get traffic. The big two are Yahoo! & Google Adwords. Yahoo! used to get me tons of traffic but, they've grown too big for their britches as the phrase goes & I dropped them. Well written, keyword rich content & marketing where you customers are & where you competition isn't is secret to making money on the Internet. What does that mean? If you sold printer toner cartridges on your site (don't it's not worth it, but I digress...) you'd want to exchange links with sites that sell laptops, or office furniture websites not other toner cartridge websites.
Plus, you can go to Alexa.com & find sites that are related but not the same with whom you can exchange links. Join web forums like Warrior Forum to find very successful & friendly people who will help you through the learning curve.
Next time I will cover what you should sell & how this will be your ticket to making great residual or even serious full-time money.

Yanik Silver's Information Marketing Method to a 6-Figure Income

If you have never heard of Yanik Silver, don't worry....unless you don't ever want to make a great passive (or active) income.

Yanik Silver is a serial Internet entrepreneur and self-made millionaire. He is recognized as one of the leading experts on web marketing even though he still considers himself a ‘techno dunce’. Starting from his one-bedroom apartment and with just a few hundred dollars, Yanik has personally sold over $13,000,000.00 online and counting (with zero employees except his wife, Missy).

He is the author, co-author or publisher of several best-selling marketing books and tools including Moonlighting on the Internet, Instant Sales Letters® & 33 Days To Online Profits. Yanik is a highly sought after speaker addressing groups ranging from the prestigious Wharton Business School to international audiences of 3,000+. (Courtesy of http://yaniksilver.com/-To learn more about Yanik's secret's visit my site)

I remember the first time I heard about Yanik. I had been coaching a young Canadian netrepreneur in Internet marketing techniques & he mentioned something about Yanik Silver's underground marketing conference; I stumbled a disinterested, 'yeah, ok' to let him know I was listening to our phone call & then frantically Googled 'Yanik Silver' as fast as I could so I didn't sound like an idiot.

As fate would have it, my one time pupil went on to become a master of Internet marketing & search engine optimization making $10,000 dollars in a few hours.

I wanted to give everyone a taste of Yanik's 7 Reasons Why a 'Digital' Information Product is the best way to build your fortune on the Net:
  1. No Competition: Since you create the content & sell it, you can copyright it & no one can knock it off in China. Information is unique to you, & are legally protected.
  2. Incredible Profit Margins: Think about it; its an electronic item, you don't have to box it, ship it, or touch it. Since its downloadable, your profit is nearly 100% pure profit (Really its about 97% because you have to 3% merchant account transaction fee).
  3. Work From Anywhere: It doesn't matter if you're on the beach with a wireless connection. sitting in your office at home or off on vacation; the Internet runs 24/7 365 days a year. I own AlwaysBePrepared.com & in 30 minutes created a simple Emergency Contact Form in Microsoft Word. I sell it for $5.47 so for every transaction I get 97% of $5.47 or, $5.30 profit for something that took me 30 minutes to make. I've had people buy this from me at 2:30 a.m. (for some reason) while I was asleep! How cool is it have someone pay you to sleep?
  4. Work On Autopilot: You can set up your Internet home based business so it works on complete autopilot. I will share more tips on how to do this.
  5. No Employees: I run AlwaysBePrepared.com by myself. Now consider what I've done. I had one month where I did $18,707.37 in sales! That's right, $18,707.37 in sales with myself & my home computer. No employees, no overhead, nothing but myself.
  6. Low Start-Up Costs: You don't need a factory or a supplier (though I've done that); information is king & cheap to create but nearly complete profit. If you need anything done....outsource it. I've had 50 websites created for me in India for $85 dollars. I had the articles written & the website http://www.BirthInjury411.info along with about $420 dollars. How??? I use GetAFreelancer.com
    GetAFreelancer.com
is a reverse auction where you can post a project & programmers from around the world bid on your project & try to downbid the previous programmer to get your business & you get to pick which one you want to use.
  7. Get Paid Over & Over Again: Once you create an informational website, you can keep selling over & over & over. You don't run out of products, they're never on back order, there's no shipping issues, rising fuel prices don't affect your profits. Once your informational website is built, the work is done & you repeatedly profit from it.
Next post I will give you Yaniks Silver's What You DON'T Need To Get Started & then tie it all into the Law of Attraction & how you can use information to make your first million.

Wealth Principle #1 Rich people believe "I create my life." Poor people believe "Life happens to me."

If you want to truly create wealth, its critical that you believe that you are completely in control of every aspect of your life; especially in your financial life.
Remember, you are where you are financially because of decisions you've made; not someone else. It's the government, it's my boss, I don't have the education, etc. etc. but, in reality its your fault.

This is hard for people to accept but its true.

My father came from a very poor share-cropping family who rented the land they lived on. Living in a poor area of southern Colorado, they lived through the Great Depression with 14 children in a cramped wooden cabin.

This caused a strong scarcity in all the children. Since they literally didn't have very much then by extension, the world was a cold, cruel place; everyone & every place became the enemy.

Growing up, my father worked a lot of hours; money was 'scarce' but we had a good life. However; we weren't taught to focus on opportunities, entrepreneurialism wasn't taught; you go to school, get a good education & then go to work for the Man.

In high school I worked at an exclusive country club where I saw millionaires first hand. I had a front row seat to see how millionaires thought & acted.

Ironically, literally a 5 minute drive from this exclusive, millionaire country club was a small community of shanty houses built out of corrugated tin & we all attended the same high school. I saw kids who came from generational poverty & generational wealth but, why do both sides continue to be either rich or poor? Their mind set.

Have you ever noticed that most of the people who buy lottery tickets are typically poor? Why is that? They literally believe that their wealth will come from someone else picking their winning number & 'make' them a millionaire. They are placing their future in the hands of someone else who neither cares about them nor about their future.

The kids from the shanty town were stuck in a mental state of poverty; their parents were poor, their grandparents were poor & they too believed that they would also be poor. They were often angry & resentful towards the kids whose families were rich.
The rich kids families had always been rich, & they too believed they would be rich like their parents. They 'knew' that they would get into a prestigious school, get a well paying job & move forward in life &, most of them did.

Why? They possessed the millionaire mind set.

You have to believe that you are the one who creates your success, you are the one who creates your failures, and that you are the one who created the 'struggle' with finances & money lack of success, not someone else. Whether you believe it our not, conscious or unconsciously, it's still you.

Poor people choose to play the role of the victim rather than directly assuming full responsibility for what's going on in their lives. Ever been around someone who was poor & constantly complaining? Its physically & mentally draining.
Having this 'victim' mentality dominates their thoughts, 'poor me,' 'I can't catch a break,' 'we're not meant to have money,' 'rich people are stingy with their money, why don't they share it with me?' And on & on.
This a role, plane & simple it's a role they are playing; no one is a victim unless you choose to be one.

WEALTH PRINCIPLE: There is no such thing as a really rich victim!
--T. Harv Eker, Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, pg. 60

Victimhood gives immediate rewards to the person who is playing the role of victim; they get immediate attention but, no financial rewards. Having others pay attention to you is important to our mental health, rich or poor we all love to be noticed but, people twist attention & use their victim status to reap short term, non-financial rewards which eventually fade.

As T. Harv Eker stated, there's not such thing as a rich victim. In order to stay a victim you have to choose to remain so, victims never become rich.

You need to make a decision, right now.

Are you a victim of circumstance? Are you poor because of your skin color, race, religion, social class, because you're too short, too tall, too fat or too thin? These excuses are exactly that, excuses.

You can be like most of my extended family, a poor victim of circumstance or you can choose to take charge of your life & deliberately choose to be 100% responsible.

DECLARATION: Say out loud...."I create the exact level of my financial success; I have a millionaire mind!"

MILLIONAIRE MIND SET ACTION PLAN
  1. Stop Complaining: Each time you find yourself blaming, justifying or complaining, Eker suggests you slide your index finger across your neck as a trigger to remind yourself that you are slitting your financial throat. Though this may seem extreme, it is a very visceral metaphor for what you're creating first mentally & then in the physical world.
  2. Daily Debriefing: At the end of you day, write down in your Success Journal one or two things that went well & one or two things that didn't go so well. Then answer the following question about each situation:
"How did I create each situation?" If others were involved, then ask, ""What was my part in creating these situations?" Finally, finish up by taking the negative situations & re-writing them as happening in the most idealistic way then that night, as you lay in bed re-live the situation again from this ideal point of view; the situation will change.

How to Create and Run a Mastermind Group for Maximum Profit

How to Create and Run a Mastermind Group

by Karyn Greenstreet (Copyright © 2004, by Karyn Greenstreet. All rights reserved.)

What is a Mastermind Group?

There is synergy of energy, commitment, and excitement that participants bring to a Mastermind Group. The beauty of Mastermind Groups is that participants raise the bar by challenging each other to create and implement goals, brainstorm ideas, and support each other
with total honesty, respect and compassion. Mastermind participants act as catalysts for growth, devil’s advocates and supportive colleagues.

The concept of the Mastermind Group was formally introduced by Napoleon Hill in the early 1900's. In his timeless classic, "Think And Grow Rich" he wrote about the Mastermind principle as:

"The coordination of knowledge and effort of two or more people, who work toward a definite purpose, in the spirit of harmony."

He continues ...

"No two minds ever come together without thereby creating a third, invisible intangible force, which may be likened to a third mind."

In a Mastermind Group, the agenda belongs to the group, and each person’s participation is key. Your peers give you feedback, help you brainstorm new possibilities, and set up accountability structures that keep you focused and on track. You will create a community of supportive colleagues who will brainstorm together to move the group to new heights.

You'll gain tremendous insights, which can improve your business and personal life. Your Mastermind Group is like having a objective board of directors.

What Will You Get From It?
  • Experience, skill and confidence
  • Real progress in your business and personal life
  • An instant and valuable support network
  • A sense of shared endeavor - there are others out there!
  • Design things to be the way you want them to be, not as you've been told they "should" be
Who Should Attend?

People who:
  • have a similar interest (such as a group for self-employed
  • people, or a group for spiritual thinkers, or a group for people in a
  • certain corporation or industry)
  • have a similar skill and/or success level
  • have the desire and inspiration to make this year extraordinary
  • want a supportive team of Mastermind partners
  • want to reach or exceed their goals
  • are ready to let their desire to be passionate about their life
  • and work overcome their fear of change
How Does It Work?

Mastermind Groups can meet in person, on the telephone, or via online message boards. For those groups that meet in person or on the phone, typically a once-a-month meeting is scheduled. You can find a Mastermind group here, or learn how to start your own Mastermind
group.

Because of the group nature, a commitment is required. Look for highly-motivated people who are willing to ask for -- and give --help and support.

How Do You Screen Applicants?

Before agreeing to let any new applicants into your group, it’s important to screen them to make sure they’ll fit into the existing group and that their commitment level is high. Decide in advance how many people should be in your group (5-8 is recommended), and only allow new members into the group with the unanimous consent of everyone in the group.

  • Do you have a personal or business mission or vision statement?
  • What are your five-year goals?
  • Where will you find time to participate in the Mastermind Group?
  • What is your commitment to moving forward in your business and personal life?
  • Why should you be chosen to participate in this group?
Even with a screening process your group is likely to run across people who say that they’re committed but then don’t participate, or who say that they’re honest but then fail to keep the trust of the group. Be prepared to ask people to leave the group who are not participating up to the group standard and do it quickly once the poor behavior becomes evident. A "slacking" member will bring down the energy and fun level for the whole group.

Mastermind Groups create a win-win situation for all participants. New friendships develop and everyone grows because of the support and encouragement of the Mastermind Group.
